Mission Statement
Dare to dream…work hard to achieve
Fishwick Primary School should be noted as a school with a warm and caring atmosphere, where everyone feels secure and valued, and all are treated with dignity and respect.
- We value the individual
- We ensure that each member of the school community is provided with an equal opportunity to develop their full potential.
- We promote a positive, caring atmosphere where all concerned show respect for the feelings and rights of others.
- We provide quality education for all.
Aims
- We know that children learn best when they are happy and secure. Learning is not only about academic skills like reading and writing, but about feeling good about yourself.
- In our school we aim to create a happy, stimulating, fun and inclusive learning environment, which provides equal opportunities for all.
- Every child is different and every child is special.
- Our children will be helped to achieve their potential academically, socially, physically and emotionally.
- We believe in a creative approach to learning where the children learn through exciting themes, brought to life with visits and visitors.
- We follow the guidelines of the National Curriculum and provide daily English and maths lessons.
- We want our children to be confident, well balanced individuals who enjoy learning and who can make a positive contribution to their community.
- When our children leave us in Year 6 we want them to be confident, independent and excited about their future.
