Fishwick is very lucky to have Miss Sarah Walker as our full time Family Support Worker. Sarah is always looking for ways to support our families. 

Behaviour Management & Sleep 

Are bedtime or morning routines a challenge? Good home routines have positive impacts on a child’s emotional and behavioural development. For some non-judgemental advice on how making a few changes can make all the difference!

Benefits

Do you have a problem with your benefits or need to claim a new benefit. Are you concerned about moving over to Universal Credits? 

Finance and Debt

Do you have debts that are becoming a challenge to manage. Fishwick Primary School have direct links with Preston City Council Debt Advice Team, who will be able to provide you with information about Debt Relief Orders and debt management, and how these maybe able to help you to move forward with your finances.

Grants

Are you struggling at home because the washing machine or other essential household items have broken? See if we can support you to obtain a grant.

Health 

Does you child have a dentist and optician. Children need routine check ups to identify any issues with oral or vision health. For support to find out which practices have capacity to accept NHS patients near you.

Housing

Do you have outstanding repairs, need to move or have problems with your neighbors. School have direct links with Preston City Council Housing Advice Services and can support you to understand your legal rights and offer support to liaise with your landlord or housing association. 

Mental Health 

Sometime the daily stresses and challenges of life leave us feeling down. If you are experiencing symptoms and have done for some time, take the first step and find out what services can help you.
